On 2 June 2025, the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń hosted a meeting of the LAENOG project consortium – Latin American European Network in Social Support for Online Gaming, co-financed by the European Commission. The meeting will last from 2 to 4 June and will take the form of a workshop.
Dr Aranka Ignasiak-Szulc, PhD Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, welcomed representatives of our project partners representing:
- University of Lisbon (Portugal)
- University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain)
- Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
- Technological University of Panama (Panama)
- Las Americas Specialised University (Panama)
The LAENOG project is being implemented jointly with universities and organisations from Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Panama and Slovakia. Our goal is to create an international support platform for young video game players and their parents and educators, counteracting toxic behaviour in the online gaming environment.
The NCU team is responsible for analysing the literature that will be used to develop research tools in the later stages of the project.
The project coordinator is the University of Lisbon (Técnico Lisboa).
We are delighted that the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management can host our partners from Europe and Latin America! The aim of the meeting is, in particular, to develop research tools and dissemination strategies.
