Diploma Convocation Ceremony is behind us

On January 13, 2024, a diploma convocation ceremony was held for the graduates of our Faculty who defended in the 2022/2023 academic year.

During the event, AACSB certificates and congratulatory letters were presented to those who graduated in 2023. The ceremony was also an opportunity to award female and male students of our Faculty who have demonstrated themselves in academic and organizational activities during their studies.

Saturday's event was also an opportunity to award the best female and male graduates of our Faculty in each category. The Best Graduate of WNEiZ, in terms of average and scientific achievements, was Antoni Laszewski, M.A., a graduate with a second degree in economics.

The results of the FESM NCU Dean's Competition for the best thesis were also announced. In the "Best Master's Thesis" category, two equal prizes were awarded - to MA Ismena Marczak for her thesis entitled. "(In)equality of women on the labor market in Poland against the background of the European Union in the years 2008-2018", written under the supervision of dr. hab. Mariola Piłatowska, professor at NCU, and to MA Kinga Nowacka, for the thesis "Digitalization - added value or a new requirement? Analysis of the level of digitization in the countries of the European Union in 2016 - 2021", written under the supervision of dr. Elżbieta Szulc, professor at NCU. An honorable mention was also given to the paper entitled. "The relationship between employees' sense of organizational justice and counterproductive behaviors undertaken by them" by MA Dorota Purzycka, written under the supervision of dr. Barbara Józefowicz. 

In the category of undergraduate theses, the main prizes went to two works: "Development of women's capital as a determinant of the growth of society's welfare," by Danika Kruzinska (supervisor: dr. Mariola Pilatowska, professor at NCU) and Anna Piguła, titled "The market of residential real estate in Toruń. "The residential rental market in Toruń." The thesis was written under the supervision of dr. Małgorzata Jaworek, professor at NCU.
